The Cowboy Burger is the perfect burger recipe when you can’t choose between toppings. Why not choose them all?
A juicy, savory burger is seared on the grill and piled high with melty cheddar, smoky cowboy sauce, fried onions, crispy bacon, and tangy pickles.
Top with a toasted bun and saddle up for a mouthwatering dinner.

Cowboy Burger MIx
-GF 85/15 Ground Beef (A perfect blend of lean and fat to make an incredible burger)
-1 Egg (Helps Bind Your Mix)
-Seasonings (1tsp each of Salt, Pepper, Garlic and Onion Powder)
-BBQ Sauce (Use whichever sauce you like - sweet to spicy)
Using an Egg and BBQ Sauce in your ground beef mix, really binds this all together!Form Your Pattys
Use your thumb or small spoon to create an indent in the middle of your burger patty.
It allows for more even cooking and helps prevent some shrinking

Cowboy Burger Toppings
-Cheddar Cheese (But you can substitute any cheese you'd like!)
-Bacon Strips (Choose whatever bacon you like, but we would suggest our Peppery Beef Bacon)
-Cowboy Sauce (A little mayo mixed with your favorite BBQ Sauce)
-Fried Onions (Feel free to fry on your own, but store-bought crispy onions are a great substitute)
-Hamburger Bun
-Pickles
Instructions
1) Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Make sure you’re using clean, oiled grill grates for the best results.
2) In a large bowl, gently combine all the ingredients for the burger patties, being careful not to overmix.
3) Form the mixture into 8 even hamburger patties (or 4 jumbo ones). I like to press my thumb in the center of the burger so it cooks at the same rate as the edges.
4) The grill should be nice and hot to get a good first sear. Grill your burger on one side until it naturally releases. (If you flip it earlier, it can stick or crumble.) Then, grill on the other side until it reaches your desired doneness.
5) Add the cheddar cheese slices during the last 30 seconds so it can get nice and melty.
6) Serve your cowboy burgers on your favorite hamburger bun with all the toppings. Dig in and enjoy!
